Ansar II convoy visitied and hailed the Islamic University of Gaza

The shuttle tour of the aid convoy “Ansar II” continued in Gaza, and members of the convoy have visited Gaza Islamic University and viewed the academic, architectural, and social developments that were achieved there, despite of the ongoing Israeli siege for more than six years.

The convoy’s delegation was received and welcomed by Dr. Jamal Al-Khudary, head of Trustees at the Islamic University of Gaza (IUG), and by Dr. Kamaleen Shaath, The University Dean, besides a number of university teaching staff.

Al-Khudary expressed welcome to the visiting delegation of “Ansar II” and hailed their contribution in boosting the steadfastness of the Palestinian people in Gaza against the war lethal arsenal of the Israeli occupation.

He also hailed the important role of Arab solidarity vis-à-vis the Palestinian people, saying “ We appreciate your great efforts with us, and your support in various levels that strengthen Palestinian people efforts to live in dignity, and to restore his legitimate rights guaranteed by all international norms and conventions.

Signs of Victory :

The delegation also reviewed some stories of success that were achieved by the IUG recently as result of the continued efforts of coordination and cooperation among the university staffing, especially aftermath of the last Israeli war and attacks that targeted the university buildings.

Dr. Shaath, for his part, stressed the significant role of solidarity visits played by the breaking siege convoys, noting that “ these visits have a very effective role in changing ordeals to grants and demonstrate Arab and Islamic solidarity with the Palestinians in all these kinds of hardships and plagues”.

Meanwhile, The head of the Lebanese department of Iftaa , or (Islamic legal opinion) Sheikh Ameen Al-Kurdy , for his part, stressed the fraternal ties that connect the Lebanese people with the Palestinian people, noting that the steadfastness of Palestinian people and their challenging of the occupation are signs of victory for our Arab and Islamic nation”.

The ongoing siege :

Dr. Issam Mustafa, the general coordinator of “ Miles of Smiles” convoys expressed proud and appreciation for the IUG and for its academic activities to the best of services for the next generations that will carry the torches of science and faith, and make the future of our nation.

He also hailed the role played by” the Palestinian universities in making life and in representing the best module of beneficial knowledge that makes a good citizen, capable to make the future, and liberate his country from the occupation”.

Dr. Mustafa stressed that all solidarity convoys coming to Gaza ,do not only carry a message of solidarity and deliver relief material, but they also send a message to world community telling that Gaza inhabitants are still suffering under the heinous Israeli blockade.

The Jordanian aid convoy “ Ansar II” arrived into Gaza Strip last Thursday, accompanied by 140 participants with the aim of contributing in the solidarity campaigns to break the Israeli siege imposed on the coastal enclave ,and to deliver humanitarian aid e.g. medicine, medical supplies, and power generators to Gaza hospitals.
