Some dostroyed areas in Gaza due to Israeli attacks

The acting president of the Palestinian Legislative Council (PLC), Dr.Ahmad Bahr welcomed the participants in the aid convoy of “Miles of Smiles 11” while receiving them at headquarters of the PLC in Gaza Strip.

Dr.Bahr briefed the visiting delegation on the conspiracies plotted by the international community to blackmail Gaza government and the Palestinian Legislative Council and to push them to make concessions regrding our cause and our constants.

He stressed that our people would never give up his rights and would continue the resistance and struggle until the liberation of all Palestine.

He also noted that the last of these conspiracies was cutting the electricity that led to the death of a number of Palestinian children.

Dr. Bahr, meanwhile, expressed his admiration and appreciation to the visit of the international youth delegation that came to reflect their solidarity with the Palestinian prisoners in general, and the MPs in particular.

He said that “such continuous visits make us feel that we are not alone , and that all the free world is siding with our people, our cause, and our constants until the liberation of all Palestinian lands”.

For his part, the general coordinator of “Miles of Smiles” Dr.Issam Mustafa said “ we have the honor to sit at the headquarters of the PLC, which represents the greatest legitimacy in this world and won 60% of the votes.

He pointed that the Palestinian government under the chairmanship of Ismail Haneyya came as result of a legislative elections, and that all world witnessed its integrity, while all countries claiming democracy fought against it.

Dr. Mustafa added that the Israeli siege imposed on Gaza is illegal and immoral , and “ we will do whatever possible to break it even if we have sacrificed our lives”.

He emphasized that the crisis experienced by the people of Gaza would not break their will and steadfastness, noting that these convoys are just symbolic expression of support and assistance to Palestine.

By the end of the visit, Dr. Bahr delivered a memorial model of the Dome of the Rock, to underline the presence of Al-Quds in all times and events.

Reception at sports ministry :

The ministry of sports, for its part, organized a reception ceremony for the delegation of international youth that accompanied the convoy of “Miles of Smiles 11”.

A high delegation of the ministry officials was at the top of those who welcomed the arrival of the convoy at Rafah crossing, while the general director of youth at the ministry, Mahmmoud Baroud has participated in the press conference that was held at the crossing at the Egyptian borders.

During the first day of the convoy’s visit, the delegation of international youth toured various places in Gaza , and got acquainted of the destruction caused by the Israeli attacks on the coastal enclave.

Mr.Baroud explained that the visit program would include many activities and meetings, beside visiting the destroyed areas to witness the suffering of the Palestinian citizen due to the oppressive Israeli siege, and the power outages, besides the impact of such blockade on all life aspects in economic, agricultural, and health sectors.
