Dr. Safwat Hijazi ,Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Egyptian revolution ,and head of the Sunnah Scholars Association, called all world community including the US that supported the siege, and the UN general secretary Ban Ki-moon to act immediately for ending the siege imposed on Gaza Strip.

Dr.Hijazai, the moment he entered to Gaza on Monday evening, said “ My joy is indescribable in coming to Gaza to do my duty, as they are a part of us, and we are part of them”.

The international aid convoy ( Spring of Freedom) aiming at breaking Gaza siege, and including tens of activists and Parliamentarians from more than 40 countries, has entered to Gaza on Monday night through Rafah crossing.

A crowd of Gaza officials and inhabitants, headed by Ahmad Bahar , first deputy chairman of the Palestinian Legislative Council was awaiting to welcome the arrival of the convoy .

Al-Quds liberation convoy :

The famous Egyptian activist Salah Sultan expressed his utmost joy for entering to Gaza, which he described as the “stronghold of dignity and pride for the world and for the Arabs and Muslims”.

He added that “ Gaza is part of us and we are part of Gaza, for us today is a feast day to meet with Gaza people, and to tell them we are supporting them” noting that the Arab Spring started from Gaza citizens who made the Arab revolutions”.

He pointed that “ If we came to Gaza today with a convoy to break its siege, tomorrow we will come with a convoy to liberate Al-Quds, and to fix Saladin podium and to liberate all the prisoners from the Israeli jails, and liberate all Palestinian land”.

No deal with Israel :

For his part, one of the founders of the Tunisian Nahdah Islamic party, Arafat Abu Juma, said “ We came to Gaza to say that the whole people of Tunisia support Gaza,and to reaffirm the right of the Palestinian people,especially of Gaza to live in dignity, calling the UN to end the siege of Gaza immediately”.

He also emphasized that the Palestinian people were the first to trigger the first Arab revolutions, including the Tunisian revolution till the new elections took place, and Al-Nahdah party won, and “ I would repeat it we will never deal with Israel and we will support the fixed rights of the Palestinian people till the establishment of the independent state”.

Projects follow up :

The chairman of the international Committee to build Gaza, and the former chairman of the Jordanian Engineers Association, Engineer Wael Al-Saqa said that this delegation came from about 40 Arab,European, African, and American countries, with the aim of breaking Gaza siege, and “ to convey a message that what is happening in the Arab world does not make us forget Palestine”.

He added that the convoy came to express its media and political solidarity with Gaza to world media outlets, and that it is high time to lift the siege, noting that the aim of their visit was to follow up the building projects being implemented by the association in Gaza, and to discuss many future issues concerning Gaza building projects , in all levels, including water, sewage ,and infrastructure being destroyed by the Israeli occupation.

Eng. Al-Saqa is visiting Gaza for the third time, as the first time was immediately aftermath the Israeli war , heading 40 engineers, the second was with the “Freedom Flotilla II” when he was arrested by the Israeli navy and couldn’t enter to Gaza, the third was with the convoy of Lifeline 3, and the fourth, this time, with the convoy “ Spring of Freedom”.

He explained that they would visit their projects that were implemented previously, including 14 housing units of 1000 units that were built after the Israeli war , many schools and health centers, that were rehabilitated, a clinic at Al-Atatrah area north of Gaza, The European Hospital in Khan Yunis, and the pediatric Hospital of Gaza city”
He went on saying “ we will meet with many officials and businessmen of Gaza to discuss some projects that we intend to implement in near future ,and will also discuss the issue of workers in Gaza, noting to the existence of construction material and the need for the support of international bodies”.

Al-Saqa revealed the intention to hold a meeting for the donors in Qatar to support Palestine and Gaza next year.
