An international relief convoy to break Gaza siege within a week time
Humanitarian Voice - 2011-11-15

Safwat Hijazi ,Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Egyptian revolution

Sheikh Safwat Hijazi ,Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Egyptian revolution reaffirmed that his association has coordinated with The International Committee to Break Gaza siege in order to launch a relief convoy to Gaza ,in cooperation with 150 parliamentarians from Europe and the US, beside a number of international activists within a week.

Sheikh Hijazi, in a statement to the Egyptian daily “ The Seventh Day” said that coordination have been done with the concerned security officials to organize this convoy in the 21st of the current month, noting that a verbal approval was given by the Egyptian authorities in this regard.

He added that the convoy would carry quantities of medicines and food staff needed in Gaza, stressing the importance of the role played by world free people in breaking Gaza siege, and the non-existence of any justification for imposing the siege on Gaza.

It is worth to mention that the Israeli occupation forces are imposing a heinous siege on Gasa, by land, sea, and air for around five years, that was aggravated during the solidarity campaigns of Arab, and international activists supporting the Palestinians.
