The chairman of The International Islamic Charitable Organization(IICO)of Kuwait,Dr. Abdullah Al-Matouq has inaugurated the launching of the new electronic gate, in a step reflecting the IICO keenness to keep up with the development of the information technology systems, and with the aim of enhancing the noble and humanitarian role it plays worldwide.

The launching ceremony was attended by The General Director of IICO, Dr.Sulaiman Shamsueddine , Director Deputy Eyad Al-Sharekh, and the computer department team, under the supervision of the information technology consultant,Dr.Othman Yousef Al-Hajji.

Dr. Al-Matouq said that this electronic website will be an “ important media window” for IICO and its charitable projects in 136 countries worldwide , through audiovisual techniques , noting that this new website will be updated to complement the various programs and future systems of IICO, as well as to follow up the donors projects, and update orphans database and other issues.

Dr. Al-Matouq added that the new website will always provide updated information to the donors and the interested foreign committees seeking support, starting from their registration date to be accredited by IICO, noting that all related information will be entered and processed in the website system, including all certificates and supporting documents to save time and efforts for all concerned parties.

He explained that once any foreign charity or committee is approved illegible by IICO , then this committee may directly proceed to enter all required data about its projects that need support, noting that this method will facilitate reviewing and studying these projects by concerned committees of IICO and take prompt decisions.

IICO was established in 1984 in Kuwait to provide services for people all over the world regardless of their race, or nationality.

IICO provides help for the needy in social, economical, educational, medical, and cultural fields as well urgent relief in war cases, natural, disasters, epidemics, famines, and similar circumstances.
